The guys at Empresas Azteca Media have a couple of brands under their umbrella, “La Mas Picosita, Radio Digital” and their music/dancing events with regional Mexican music. They use La Mas Picosita Radio as their main promotional channel to boost and advertise their own events. Their main problem was having an unfinished website, the previous developer disappeared and for months they didn’t a decent and cohesive internet presence.
Although the website had a homepage with a media player, branding was non-existing, the design didn’t look professional, no content structure, which translate into no value for users or SEO.
This was a complete detele-redo case, the only thing we saved was the code they used to implement the online radio functionality for us to analyze and improve later. Thanks to the many available and well documented radio platforms out there we noticed what what the problem with the code and we patch it.
At the time we started the project, they also wanted to use this same website to promote their music events. We suggested to do this adding eCommerce functionality but using a sub-domain instead of the same domain they use to broadcast music and radio shows –to narrow the scope or service per domain/SEO, so this part will be a different project.
Besides our usual interview about Empresas Azteca and their services, we also had a quick fun photography session. After applying some design principles, integrated a social media feeds and expanding content in the About, Programs, Team, Contact pages, we were ready with the first part of this project.
The main reason they needed this redesign was for new users/listeners to find them, as well as local businesses who want to advertise with them, and of course, to have a polished fun-yet-professional online image, mission complete!
